Visa Information For US Citizens
The Philippines does not require a visa for a tourist visit of less than 21 days. Travel for business purposes, or for over 20 days does require a visa. People born in the Philippines do not require a visa for tourism purposes.
The consular visa fee is $30.00. Your visa application must be submitted with 1) your passport with an expiration date exceeding six months from your planned entry to the Philippines, 2) a photograph that meets U. S. passport regulations, and 3) either a copy of your travel plane ticket or your printed travel itinerary.
Business travelers must also submit a business letter that 1) is addressed to your Philippine Consulate or the Philippine Embassy, 2) explains the nature of the business to be conducted, 3) is written on company letterhead, and 4) is signed by someone in your company other than you.
